| An addition and renovation of a 1930s era home for a couple with 4 children. The addition blends with the existing, but is introduces some more modern playful elements. The everyday flow of the home was redesigned to make it more practical. | |
| The family room, adjacent to the kitchen and with new stairs to the upper level, was designed to be a cozy, fun, well-lit center of the home. The stone fireplace with built-in cabinets was designed to recall a earlier home of the owner. | |
| The owners are fond of Prarie style and furnished the addition accordingly to match the woodwork. The man of the house did much of the finish work himself. | |
| I am particularly proud that I was able to squeeze enough space out of the existing house for the little guy looking back in the photo to have his own bedroom. |
